Rothrock on Panel of Biden’s First 100 Days
10 June 2021
Join Nora Rothrock and a specialist panel for a joint event, run by the Scottish North American Business Council (SNABC) and the Royal Society for Arts (RSA Scotland), reviewing the implications of the first 100 days of President Biden.
Joe Biden was elected 46th President of the United States on a promise of a new form of governance, focused on restoring traditional global relations; responding to the climate emergency; addressing the COVID-19 pandemic; and transitioning the US to a new, more sustainable, economic model.
As President Biden has passed his first 100 days in office, this presents an ideal opportunity to reflect upon the policy decisions he has made and what that implies for his future objectives. In Scotland, it is a chance to explore the shape of Scottish-US relations, the implications for Scottish companies looking to trade into our single biggest export market, and the opportunities for working together that exist, particularly in a year when the eyes of the world will be on Scotland as we host COP 26 in Glasgow.
This panel will bring together a diverse range of views and experiences, from Scotland and the US. Confirmed panel members include:
Duncan Edwards, Chief Executive, BritishAmerican Business
Nora Rothrock, Managing Director, US Tax & Financial Services
Steve Bridges, Director UK, Indiana Economic Development Corp
Kezia Dugdale, Director, John Smith Centre
Lolita Jackson, Executive Director of Communications & Sustainable Cities at Sustainable Development Capital LLP
